A Higher Standard
Organic beef production requires more time, effort, and strict documentation than conventional production systems.
Traceability
Organic beef moves from the farm or ranch of origin through a well-defined, traceable, certifiable processing, handling, and marketing chain. Each animal is traced back to birth.
Third-Party Verified
Open Range Beef and all our supplier partners undergo comprehensive annual audits by independent third-party certifiers to qualify for Organic production.
USDA Certified Organic
Raised Naturally
No use of antibiotics or growth hormones. Organic cattle have a diet of the grasses, legumes, and other forages that are never sprayed with pesticides or herbicides.
Raised on Pasture
Organic cattle are required to have continuous access to pasture. In most cases, organic cattle have 1 acre of pasture space compared to an average of 450 head per acre in a commodity feedlot.
100% Organic Diet
Animals only consume grasses, legumes, and other forages on organic certified pastures. Any hay, silage or other cropped feeds must come from organic certified producers.
